Meet the Team: Will Pintar, Operations Manager
What was your role, prior to joining Edge?
Before joining Edge in 2024, I spent 23 years in the military. I joined Edge as a health and safety coordinator before becoming health and safety manager. I now head up operations across the business.
What does your role involve?
I oversee daily operations, making sure we’re operating efficiently and that clients receive the best possible service. I’m always looking at ways to enhance our systems and processes to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
What is the best thing about working at Edge?
The best thing about Edge is definitely the culture. Joining Edge after a career in the military was a surprisingly easy transition because just like in the Army, we’re a close-knit, supportive team and it’s a great environment to work in.
I always tell people that I swapped one family for another when I came to Edge from the military.
What is your focus this year?
Overall, my focus is on maintaining work streams, helping to launch new projects, building relationships and securing future works with new build managers for current clients.
Recently, I’ve spent time focusing on how our new Birmingham office will run; it will be fully operational in the next couple of months. We’ve also spent a lot of time developing and testing an app for our engineers. This will be rolled out over the summer.
As a family business, we’re passionate about looking after our team and developing talent, and we’re looking at how we can do this even better. There’s always a lot going on behind the scenes at Edge!
What does the future hold?
Edge has big plans for growth, building on its strong family foundations and fantastic client base. We’re always looking at ways to diversify our offering and have some exciting plans in the pipeline. We’ll also be looking at growing our national footprint which could mean new office locations in the future.
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Being ex-military, I’m very competitive and love all kinds of sport. I also love watching live music – recently I’ve been to see the Foo Fighters and Oasis, which was an incredible experience.
